When Festus, the governor of Judea, calls an assembly in the audience hall in Caesarea so that King Agrippa II and Bernice can hear Paul’s case, the event is surrounded by much pomp and pageantry. The gathering even includes Roman military commanders and the important men of Caesarea. There’s much public curiosity about this Jew named Paul, a Roman citizen, who’s desired dead by his own people.
